The Band...
John Brunette: Bass
John grew up a Navy brat listening to all things ‘funk/soul’, developing a love for the groove and then settling in the Boston area to go to college. Playing Bluesgrass started as a way to dust off the upright but now - totally hooked. He lives just north of Boston.
Susan Ruth: Fiddle
A native of the Boston area Susan grew up surrounded by traditional Irish music, singing, dancing, and playing fiddle at many a family gathering. She fell in love with bluegrass during college and never looked back. She lives in the beautiful sea side town of Swampscott.
Greg Young: Guitar
A 6th generation Ohioian now in New England over 35 years, Greg grew up harmonizing on Methodist hymns with family and hearing old country from his father. Seeing live traditional music in summers on Lake Erie coupled with childhood trips to Kentucky and Nashville hit like a lightning bolt... he taught him self to play by ear and thus began a lifelong love of American roots music.
Ken Clarkson: Dobro/Banjo
A feral biologist-musican raised in the Blue Ridge playing banjo, Ken has carried his music from the Arctic, to volcanoes of Hawaii, to California, and now to Concord, MA where he lives.
